At the end of 2018, Payactiv’s CEO Safwan Shah wrote to his board:
We have the greatest job in the world. In 2018, we served 442,158 workers and moved $537,479,371 into their hands through timely access to their already earned wages. We put an additional $110 million in the pockets of lower income workers. Most estimates are that we added $200 in monthly purchasing power for a typical worker. A 7% percent raise.
With your help we give a helping hand to workers who are drowning, bringing them above water so they can breathe and get their vigor and bearings back. Yes…we may have the most sizzling business idea, but all that pales in comparison to the fact that we make mothers, fathers, and children smile.
